CAP considered the proposed design to be poor and inappropriate in a Conservation Area. The loss of the garages would increase on-street parking. The layout of the houses is poor, with steps up to the front doors. Bicycle and bin areas are at the ends of the houses. There are small amenity spaces on the garage roofs between the houses at first floor level. The adjoining garden would be affected by the raising of the boundary wall and by noise from the terraces. There would be overlooking from both the terraces and the roof lights. The materials, particularly concrete roof tiles, are not appropriate. The Panel strongly objected.
