Lorenzo da Ponte, Priest & Libertine

Apr 25, 2018

Local author and opera lover, Tim Davidson, will talk to us about the fascinating life and work of poet and priest, Lorenzo da Ponte. Whilst his life was often scandalous, his work, as the librettist for a number of Mozart's best loved operas, was touched with genius.

This talk, lavishly interspersed with Mozart's sublime music, is one that no opera lover should miss.

As always, the event will take place at the Apostle Room at Clifton Cathedral, starting at 8.00pm. Please note that this talk is on WEDNESDAY, April 25th (not the usual Tuesday). Wine and coffee will be available as well as plenty of parking spaces.
