Wordsworth & Coleridge in Bristol

Adam Sisman, local resident, writer, editor and biographer will give a talk on 'Wordsworth & Coleridge in Bristol'.

The meeting between the two young poets, which took place in Bristol in 1795, was to have momentous consequences, changing the course of English poetry and influencing the wider culture in ways still relevant today.

In this talk Adam Sisman, author of a book about the two men, will trace their early experiences in Bristol which led up to this important encounter. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

As usual, the venue will be the Apostle Room at Clifton Cathedral, where ample parking is available. The talk will start at 8pm with doors open at 7.30pm. Coffee, tea, wine and soft drinks will be available.
